Why do you call yourself a Watchman?
Many years ago, I knew that the Lord was calling me to go to the sleeping church in America. As I later opened up the book of Ezekiel, God’s hand was upon me to confirm that his call was also mine. Reading chapter 3:5-9 weighted upon me in conviction, as did chapter 33:1-7. I had struggled with this call for years, because it is unpopular—bringing painful rejection and persecution. Without the Holy Spirit, through Jesus’ blood, it would not be possible.
In this time of “falling away,” I believe there is still a faithful remnant God wants to reach. In this light it is proper to describe myself as a watchman, not the watchman. God has called others to this role, and I pray they will find good encouragement here.
Doesn’t the Bible tell us not to judge?
No, not in the way organized churches teach.
So many times I have heard Matthew 7:1 quoted—ignoring verses 2-5, and the greater text of God’s Word. When one does this, they are adding to and diminishing God’s Word, which is a very serious offense.
In Matthew 7, Jesus is giving us a warning—and to tell us to self-examine before judging. We are to do it, and help.
Also, this is the Sermon on the Mount—Christ is not talking exclusively to his disciples, but to mankind in general. To the churches, we are told to hold others accountable according to the doctrines of truth in the Word of God. (Ephesians 5:11, II Timothy 3:16,17; 4:2; II John 9-11) Even where the churches are being addressed and it is called “judging”, the texts refer to minor, non-crucial issues such as eating meat, or observing a day of the week.
Because of the mis-handling of this issue, churches have allowed great spiritual heresies inside them. This has led to faithlessness and falling away.
Do you have any higher education?
Some, but it is unimportant.
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. I Corinthians 1:26-29
The man after God’s own heart (David), was a shepherd, and the youngest of 8 brothers. When Jesus arrived on earth bodily, only shepherds were immediately notified. The disciples were an assortment, but the main core of Peter, James, John—were fisherman.
God is no respecter of persons, and much evil has come about because of unrealistic “faith” in educated leaders. While I do hold a B.A. in religion, only teaching from the Word and the Holy Spirit are true.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I John 2:27
My time in the “Christian” higher education realm has shown me a vast corruption; in fact, that area has been directly targeted by satanic forces.
Do not yield to the banter of “educated” men or women—those views and teachings are only valid in where they agree with the Word of God.
Why do you only use the King James Bible?
It is the perfectly preserved, inerrant Word of God (Psalms 12:6,7) The Bible version is absolutely vital—we must know what is True (Please read the Bible Version section)
Satan wants to confuse believers with many, many versions. There really are only two: The Authorized Translation and the Revised Translation. The King James is the Authorized, and every other version comes from the Revised.
Laymen are sold the new versions based on the assumption that they are basically identical to the King James, just more up to date wording. This is how it has been represented by church leadership!
So as a new convert, I also accepted this deceit. My KJV was cashed in for a NASV, and it was my “holy bible” for 16 years.
One day I found a tract that gave some small insight into the bible tampering issue, and it was a concern. Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my words.” John 14:23. How can you keep Jesus’ words unless you know them? Slowly, I began looking into it…
Over three years later, I switched back to the King James Bible. It was very clear the other versions were critically different. In the years that followed, I began to study more intently. Evidence overwhelmed me, as I could see exactly how and why God chose to preserve His Word the way it appears in the King James.
Through God’s Word we can have a solid foundation for our lives. If you have been saved, you need to rely on the true Word of God. Without it, you will fall away in time: not if, but when! I have been sent to call God’s people back to His True Word.
Aren’t all religions the same?
Not even close!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Simple studies of various religions reveal vast differences in the very nature of each “god.” Believers in Christ are assured of salvation simply: all others are uncertain eternities based on works. I invite you to check out some resources on certain religions at Chick.com.
What church do you belong to?
The one true church, the bride of Christ.
Despite years of searching, all organized churches I have found have “fallen away” to “another gospel.” There may still be a few true believers within each, but the doctrines are “commandments of men” instead of God’s Word. I am not called to one congregation, but to sound the warning trumpet to many people and congregations.
So what if these are the last days? If I’m saved, it’ll be OK—right?
No. The Word goes to great lengths to tell us how to recognize the end, and to be ready. It warns against deception and “falling away,” and should be taken seriously. If you choose to be blind to these parts of the Word, you could very well be lost.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6
